Library Contact Information

Library Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Checkout Policies

  • DK–1st Grade: Students may check out one book, which must remain in the classroom.
  • 2nd Grade: Students may check out two books to keep in the classroom until winter break. After winter break, they may take one book home.
  • 3rd–8th Grade: Students may check out two books and take them home.

Lost or Damaged Book Policy

It is important to care for borrowed library materials. If a book is lost or damaged, students can:

  • Pay for the book.
  • Replace it with the same title.
  • Work in the library during their free time to cover the cost.

Resources

Our library offers a wealth of resources to support student learning, including online tools and databases:

Library Services

  • Book Requests: The library welcomes book requests from both students and staff and makes every effort to fulfill them.
  • Checkouts: Staff and students can check out books, but reference materials, magazines and newspapers are for in-library use only.
  • Overdue Books: Students should return books on time. Failure to do so may restrict further checkouts until the overdue book is returned.
  • Class Visits: Each class has a scheduled library visit time.

Library Rules

To ensure a respectful and productive environment, students are expected to follow these rules:

  • Bring all necessary materials with you; food or drinks are not allowed.
  • Remain in the library with your class until excused by the library staff.
  • Keep voices low to maintain a quiet space for reading and studying. Horseplay, running and other disturbances are not allowed.
  • Help keep the library clean and organized.
  • Take care of books while they are in your possession. Return them to the designated areas for proper reshelving.
  • Do not remove reference materials, magazines or newspapers from the library.

Hall Passes

During class hours, students must have a hall pass from a staff member to visit the library. The librarian does not issue passes directly.

We look forward to supporting your child’s love of learning and providing the resources needed for their success.
