At Tuba City Boarding School, we are committed to ensuring all students have access to healthy and nutritious meals every school day.
Meal Programs
Tuba City Boarding School participates in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. Through the Community Eligibility Provision, all students are provided with breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of household income. Families are not required to submit household applications or pay fees to participate in this program.

Meal Schedule
- Breakfast: It is served from 7:15 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. Non-bus riders are encouraged to arrive early to ensure enough time to complete their meal before the school day begins.
- Lunch: Served according to grade-level schedules.
Cafeteria Rules
To ensure a safe and enjoyable mealtime experience, all students are expected to follow the rules and model good behavior while in the cafeteria.
- Enter through the designated cafeteria entrance only.
- Energy drinks, sports drinks, teas and sodas are not allowed. Beverages served and permitted include bottled water, milk and juice.
- The cafeteria is a social-media-free zone. Keep all electronic devices out of sight during meals.
- Remove hats, caps or other headgear except for religious, medical or approved reasons.
- Wait your turn to be served. Cutting in line is prohibited.
- Horseplay, such as shoving, shouting or throwing food, is not tolerated.
- Students are responsible for cleaning their eating area before leaving. Report spills to cafeteria staff promptly.
- Properly dispose of trash, uneaten food, liquids and utensils in designated containers.
- Students may request seconds after everyone has been served. Availability is not guaranteed.
- Sponsors of clubs, tutoring sessions and sports teams are responsible for supervising students during meals and ensuring the cleanup of used areas.
Special Dietary Needs
We are committed to accommodating students with special dietary needs. If your child requires specific menu adjustments due to medical conditions:
- Inform the teacher and cafeteria supervisor.
- Provide a medical statement if an individual menu change is necessary.
Additional Information for Parents, Staff and Visitors
- Staff Meals: Employees working during lunch (e.g., supervising or instructing students) are provided lunch at no cost.
- Parent/Visitor Meals: Parents, guardians, staff not on lunch duty, and other visitors are required to pay for their meals. Meal costs are posted in the school cafeteria.
